Car companies in India have more than 5 lakh waiting, know the reason

Car makers expect a big sale during the festival season in India. Due to the global chip shortage, the automobile industry is facing a lot of problems in supply. Customers have made huge number of bookings and due to this the supply chain of the companies is disrupted. Because of this, companies like Hyundai, Maruti, Kia and Mahindra have a large number of waiting.

Talking about hatchback cars, there is currently a waiting period of 3 months for Maruti Swift. On the other hand, there is a waiting period of 4 to 5 months for the Hyundai i20. There is a huge waiting period for SUV cars too. This includes SUV cars like Maruti Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Toyota Innova, Toyota Fortuner.

Not only for hatchback and SUV cars, but if you want to buy a luxury car, then you may have to wait a long time. There is currently a waiting period of 6,7 months for Mercedes GLS SUVs and 1 month for Mercedes GLC SUVs.

Mahindra has more than 1 lakh units pending for delivery. Some time back the company had opened the booking of XUV 700 and till now more than 50 thousand bookings have been done for this car. The Mahindra XUV700 SUV gets a new black grille with tall vertical chrome slates and a new logo at the front. It gets new LED headlamps with LED DRLs, large twin C-shaped LED daytime running lights. It gets new flush-fitting door handles, integrated turn signals with electric-powered ORVMs and flared wheel arcs, giving it a rugged look. Its rear has a tailgate with stylish wraparound LED taillamps.
