Delhi’s famous nutritionist Lavneet Batra tells how pregnant women can reduce the problem of flatulence.
Why is there a problem
During pregnancy, the body produces a large amount of progesterone. The muscles of the body are relaxed at this time. The intestinal muscles also go into relaxation mode, which slows down the digestion process. This leads to the formation of gas which causes flatulence and belching.

what can you do
According to Lavneet Batra, you can follow some simple steps to reduce this problem.
Batra says that by taking a diet rich in fiber, water comes in the intestines, due to which the stool present there becomes soft and easily passes out of the body. You must take 25 to 30 grams of fiber daily. You can get plenty of fiber from prunes, figs, bananas, whole grains which reduce the problem of flatulence.
Tips from Lavneet Batra
drink lots of water and eat ghee
Water and other healthy fluids keep the body hydrated and help prevent constipation. Including ghee in the food can also reduce the problem of flatulence. Ghee clears the intestinal tract and reduces the risk of constipation and also prevents bloating.

eat cooked food
During pregnancy, the body’s ability to break down food and process slows down. This makes it take longer for the nutrients to be absorbed. Cooked food can be chewed well and it is also easily digested, which reduces the chances of flatulence.
Apart from this, you should eat such things which are easily digested such as moong dal and sooji halwa. During pregnancy, the digestive system should eat less food to break down food. This produces less gas.
Do physical activity
At this time you should eat less things like cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli and asparagus because they produce less gas than other vegetables.
Physical activity is very important to avoid flatulence during pregnancy. Physical activity and exercise must be included in your daily routine.
