Milk – 1 liter
Rice – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup (100 grams)
Cashew nuts (chopped) – 8-10
Almonds (chopped) – 8-10
Pistachios – 8-10
Raisins – 1 tbsp
Saffron flakes – 12-15
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp

How to make Saffron Kheer
To make Kesariya Kheer, first of all take rice and wash them and soak them in water for about 1 hour. Now put two spoons of milk in a bowl and mix it well by adding saffron strands. Now take a thick bottomed vessel and put milk in it and keep it to boil on low flame. Boil the milk till it remains one fourth. When the milk remains one-fourth and becomes thick, then add soaked rice in it. After this add sugar in it and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Now add cardamom powder and saffron mixed milk to the kheer and mix it well. Now let the kheer cook for about 5 minutes more. After that take it down from the gas. Now take a separate pan and heat ghee in it. When the ghee melts, put raisins and chopped pieces of cashew, almond, pistachio in it. Fry them lightly in ghee. After this, add dry fruits to saffron kheer and mix well. In this way your saffron kheer is ready.
