Ingredients for Methi Paratha
Flour – 4 cups
Besan – 1 cup
Fenugreek finely chopped – 2 cups
Green chilies finely chopped – 3
Ginger finely chopped – 1 tsp
Ajwain – 1 tsp
Salt – as per taste

Method to make Fenugreek Paratha
To make fenugreek paratha, first take a deep-bottomed vessel and sieve the flour in it. After that take gram flour and sieve it too. Now mix both well. Now make a paste by grinding ginger and green chilies. Add this paste to the flour-gram flour mixture and mix it well. Now add chopped fenugreek to this mixture and mix it well. Keep in mind that fenugreek should be thoroughly washed and finely chopped.

Add salt to this mixture as per taste and mix it well. Now take a cup of lukewarm water and start kneading the dough. Knead the dough by adding water as required. When the dough is well kneaded, cover it with a cloth for 5 minutes and keep it. After this, break the dough balls and roll their parathas. Now take a nonstick pan/tawa. Let the pan heat up on medium heat. When the griddle becomes hot, pour some oil on it and spread it all around.

When the hot tawa becomes very oily and the oil starts releasing smoke, then put fenugreek paratha in it. When the paratha is roasted well from one side, flip it over and apply oil on it. Now turn the paratha again and apply oil on the other side. After this, roast the paratha well from both the sides till it turns golden brown. Now take out the paratha in a plate. Make parathas of dough one by one and roast them. In this way your hot fenugreek parathas are ready for breakfast. Serve them with curd or chutney.
