Suji Uttapam Recipe: If you want to prepare a quick morning dish in the winter season, then suji uttapam can be a great option for you. It does not take much time to make sooji uttapam and it is very tasty too. Uttapam is a traditional dosa of famous South Indian cooking. It is eaten as breakfast in the morning. Of course it is a South Indian dish but now it is eaten with great fervor all over the country. It can be made without any hassle. Traditional Instant Sooji Uttapam Recipe is made by overnight fermentation and grounding. But now it can also be made instant. This recipe made with a mixture of semolina and curd can be a great option for you. So let’s know how to make semolina uttapam.

Ingredients for making Sooji Uttapam
Semolina – 1 cup
Curd – half cup
Red chili powder – half teaspoon
Tomato – 1 finely chopped
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Small capsicum – 1 chopped
Ginger – grated
Green chili – 2-3 finely chopped
Coriander – chopped
salt – as per taste
Ghee or oil – for frying

How to make Sooji Uttapam
Use Bombay rava or medium sized semolina to make this recipe. Do not use bamboo rava or thin sized semolina in this, as it will spoil both the batter and the method of making dosa. To make it, first put semolina, curd and salt in a big vessel and mix it well. Mix this batter like a batter for making cheela or dosa. Now keep it covered for 10 minutes. After sometime the semolina will swell. Now put onion, tomato, capsicum, ginger, green chili, ginger, coriander leaves in a separate vessel and mix it all.

Now keep 1 teaspoon oil in a pan for heating. Keep the flame medium. Spread the batter in the pan with a large spoon or spoon. After a minute, put the vegetables on top of the batter as well. Cook it well for two minutes. Sooji Uttapam is ready. Serve it hot with green chutney or peanut chutney. Use Bombay rava or medium sized semolina to make this recipe.
