Robbers are not spared today: Modi
PM Modi accused the previous governments of making a fuss over corruption. He said that the way governments and systems ran earlier, they lacked both administrative and political will. Today there is political will to attack corruption and continuous reforms are also being done at the administrative level. He said, ‘Today the country has also believed that those who cheat the country, loot the poor, no matter how powerful they are, wherever they are in the country and the world, now they are not shown mercy, the government leaves them. Not there.’
Confidence built by continuous efforts: PM
The PM said, ‘With the continuous efforts of the last 6-7 years, we have been able to establish a belief in the country that it is possible to stop the increasing corruption. Today the country has come to believe that without any transaction, without Intermediaries can also get the benefit of government schemes. In the beginning of the address, Modi said, ‘Today we are celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of India’s independence. In the coming 25 years, that is, in this nectar period, the country is moving towards the fulfillment of the colossal resolutions of self-reliant India. Today we are engaged in empowering Good Governance – Pro People, Proactive Governance.
Whether corruption is big or small, it snatches away the rights of someone or the other. It deprives the common citizen of the country from his rights, hinders the progress of the nation and also affects our collective strength as a nation.
