Petrol Price: After the reduction of excise duty on petrol by ₹ 5 and reduction of ₹ 10 in diesel by the Modi government of the Center, now the BJP-ruled state governments have made a big cut in the price of petrol and diesel.

From Ladakh to Puducherry, ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party, there has been a big cut in the price of petrol and diesel. The price of petrol has been cut by up to 8.75 paise per liter while the price of diesel has been cut by up to ₹9.52.

The central government had announced reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel just before Diwali, giving relief to the people across the country. If we talk about after reducing the excise duty of the central government, then the lowest drop in the price of petrol and diesel has been recorded in Uttarakhand while Ladakh has registered the highest decline. ₹ 2 per liter has been cut while Ladakh has been cut by Rs. 8.70 per liter. If we talk about diesel, the Uttarakhand government has cut local sales tax by about Rs 2 per liter while in Ladakh by ₹ 9.52 per liter.

How much relief in which state?
After the relief of the central government, the Karnataka government has given a relief of ₹ 8.62 in petrol in the local sale tax, similarly a relief of Rs 9.40 has been given in the price of diesel. In Madhya Pradesh, the price of petrol decreased by ₹6.89 while the price of diesel decreased by ₹6.96. In Uttar Pradesh, the price of petrol has been reduced by ₹ 6.96 and that of diesel by ₹ 2.0 4 per liter.
