Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Tuesday said the state government will buy 125 kg of gold from the Reserve Bank of India for gold studded ‘Vimana Gopuram’ of the Yadadri temple. After visiting Yadadri, Rao said that the state needs to buy gold worth Rs 60-65 crore and the temple authorities are in touch with the experts doing the work at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.
CM will donate money for 1.16 kg of gold
The Chief Minister said that as the first donor, on behalf of his family, he would donate 1.16 kg of gold and likewise many ministers and MLAs have also come forward for this. Significantly, two years ago, the Telangana government gave a grand look to the Yadadri Lakshmi-Nrasimha temple of mythological importance on the lines of Tirupati at a cost of Rs 1,800 crore. The Lakshmi-Nrasimha temple in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, about 60 km from Hyderabad, has been rejuvenated in a record 3 years. For this, engineers and architects worked on about 1500 maps and plans.
