With the help of Kusal Perera’s century and Dushmanta Chameera’s five wickets, Sri Lanka stopped Bangladesh from a 97-run victory in the third one-day cricket match to make it a ‘clean sweep’. Perera scored 120 off 122 balls with 11 fours and a six, helping Sri Lanka score 286 for six.
For Bangladesh, fast bowler Taskin Ahmed took four wickets for 4 runs. Perera, however, took one end to lead Sri Lanka to a big score. None of the Bangladesh batsmen could play by sticking.
Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored 84 and 125 in the first two matches, was dismissed for 28 runs. Mussadak Hussain scored the highest number of 51 runs which was dismissed by off-spinner Ramesh Mendis in an attempt to reverse sweep.
