The International Cricket Council has given BCCI time till June 28 to take a decision on hosting the T20 World Cup amid the Corona crisis in India. India was represented by BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jai Shah in the online meeting of the ICC Board on Tuesday. The T20 World Cup is to be held in October-November this year.
The BCCI had asked for a month’s time which was unanimously given by the ICC Board. A source close to the ICC Board said, “Yes, the ICC Board has accepted the request of the BCCI and they have till June 28 to take a decision on hosting the T20 World Cup in India.” He will come back to the board next month with a concrete plan.
