Richard Branson ready to go to space first, ‘nervous’ before traveling in Virgin Galactic

Virgin Group owner Richard Branson, who is set to take the lead in the space race, has admitted that he is a little nervous ahead of this historic flight. Interestingly, while the world is witnessing the race to be the first to travel in space, Brenson says he spoke to Jeff Bezos before the flight. Actually, after a few days Bezos is also going to go on a space trip. Brenson says that the two have different ideas about aerospace travel.

No competition with Bezos
Brenson told the BBC’s ‘The One Show’ on Wednesday that the two have gone through a difficult road to get here. He previously told on the NBC show ‘TODAY’ that there is no competition between him and Bezos. Brenson said that he had been stopping himself from getting excited about this moment for 17 years, but now he is completely excited when his chief engineer told that everything is fine, preparations for going to space on Sunday are complete.

The spacecraft will take off from New Mexico in which all the crew members will be employees of the company. 34-year-old Shirisha Bandla, an aeronautical engineer to be a part of this flight, will be the third woman of Indian origin to go to space.

Bezos will leave on July 20
At the same time, Bezos will go to space on July 20 from the New Shepherd spacecraft of his company Blue Origin. Bezos has chosen July 20 as his launch date from West Texas, which will be the 52nd anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the Moon. He had announced himself aboard the spacecraft just a month ago, the final stop in the year-long race between the two wealthy space businessmen to reach space.
