India’s CDS General Bipin Rawat died in a plane crash on Wednesday. His military helicopter crashed near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu in which 14 people were Savar. The Indian Air Force said that 13 people including General Rawat and his wife died in this accident. General Bipin Rawat was the first CDS of India. The loss of a brave warrior has caused a wave of mourning not only in India but also at the global level.

Pakistan army chief expressed grief
Indian celebrities including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh as well as other countries are with India in this hour of grief and are condoling the death of General Rawat. On Wednesday, Pakistani military officials also condoled the death of General Rawat. Pakistan’s Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) Lt Gen Nadeem Raja and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed grief over the tragic deaths of CDS General Bipin Rawat, his wife and the helicopter crash.

Israel expressed condolences
Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz wrote in his tweet, ‘I would like to express my condolences on behalf of the Israeli Defense Establishment and the people of India at the loss of Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat, his wife and others killed in the tragic accident. And I want to express my personal grief to the Indian Defense Establishment.

Taiwan with India in difficult times
Taiwan’s Foreign Ministry wrote, ‘Our deepest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 others who lost their lives in this tragic helicopter crash. Taiwan is with India in this difficult time.

Sri Lanka mourns
Sri Lankan President Gotapaya Rajapaksa said, “Deeply saddened to hear about the sudden demise of General Bipin Rawat, Mrs Rawat and others in the tragic helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu. On behalf of the people of Sri Lanka, I extend my condolences to their families and all Indians.

Australia remembers General Rawat
Australia’s High Commissioner to India said, ‘Our deepest condolences to the families of CDS General Bipin Rawat, Madhulika Rawat and others who lost their lives in the helicopter accident. Defense ties between India and Australia have grown tremendously during the tenure of General Rawat.

Russia said – India has lost a hero
The Russian Ambassador said, “Deeply saddened to learn about the tragic demise of General Bipin Rawat, Mrs Madhulika Rawat and 11 other officers in the helicopter crash today. India has lost its great patriot and dedicated hero.

Bhutan offers prayers for the bereaved families
The Prime Minister of Bhutan said, “Very sad to learn about the helicopter crash in India in which 13 people including Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and his wife died. Me and the people of Bhutan pray for India and the bereaved families. May you have the strength to bear this tragedy.
