Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu crossed the India-Pakistan border on Saturday to visit Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara. A video of Sidhu arriving in Kartarpur has been shared on Twitter in which Pakistani officials can be seen welcoming him. During this, Sidhu said about Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan that he is his elder brother and he has got a lot of love from Imran Khan.

In the video, Pakistani officials showered flowers on Sidhu who reached Kartarpur. The CEO of Kartarpur welcomed Sidhu and garlanded him with flowers. “I welcome you on behalf of Prime Minister Imran Khan,” he said. To this Sidhu said, ‘I am very grateful to you. Imran Khan is my elder brother. He has given me a lot of love.’ Former cricketer and Punjab Congress President Sidhu has been embroiled in controversies in the past by visiting Pakistan. He faced severe criticism for hugging Pakistan Army Chief General Bajwa.

In the year 2018, Sidhu attended the swearing-in ceremony of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad. Sidhu was seen hugging Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa during the ceremony. Not only this, during the ceremony, Sidhu was also made to sit next to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir President Masood Khan.
